The main gaming area, including the 'Salon Prive', for casino table games is on the first floor with a bar, a lounge and a restaurant with live sport TVs. There are no slot machines or video games. On the second floor there is a card room for poker players with 14 tables, a bar and a lounge. On the ground floor there is sport betting by Chronicle Bookmakers, the most advanced betting shop in Ireland. Toilet facilities are available on each floor. There is a dedicated smoking area on the ground floor. In this casino they serve alcoholic drinks and they are complimentary while gaming. Useful information on Ireland
General: Ireland is made up of four provinces which are broken down into 32 counties. Six of these counties are in Northern Ireland and 26 are in the Republic. Dublin is the capital of the Republic and is Ireland's largest city.
Language: English is the spoken language throughout Ireland. Irish or Gaelic is the original native language of Ireland. Place names and signage are usually in both languages.
Currency: The Euro is the only currency that is recognised as legal tender in the Republic of Ireland. Each euro has 100 cents.
Smoking: Since 29 March 2004 smoking is banned in all enclosed places of work in Ireland. This includes public buildings, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and casinos. Most pubs and some restaurants and casinos have installed a dedicated smoking area or patio.
Gambling age: The legal minimum age for gambling in Ireland is 18, but some casinos require that you are 21 to allow you to become a member.
Alcohol in the casinos: Most Irish casinos do not serve alcoholic drinks inside their premises.
Tipping in the casinos: It is common to tip the dealer if you win, but this is optional.
Taxis: You can stop a taxi in the street or pick up one from a taxi rank. Expect to pay between €25 and €35 from Dublin Airport to the city centre. Alternatively, you can use the 'Aircoach', an express coach service serving major hotels in the city centre and south Dublin.
